Black Mould (Aspergillus Niger) in property is hazardous to health, and classed as a statutory nuisance, and so if you are thinking about selling or letting a property and you have black mould you may find that you will not be able to carry out your wishes.

Do not tell people to use bleach to kill Black mould. Bleach does not carry an HSE number and does not state on the label that it can be used for Black mould treatment. Bleach will only discolour the florets not kill the roots.

If however you do tell someone to use bleach, and they splash bleach on themselves, you can be taken to court for instructing that person to use the bleach and not supplying the correct PPE for the work to be carried out.
