Climbing ivy and climbing plants may look nice, but what most people do not realise is that they can help cause Mould and damp related problems

We can remove these plants and treat any pest problem that you may have at relatively low cost to you.

A major problem caused by climbing plants such as ivy, is dampness to the inside of your walls etc. which in turn can easily cause a MOULD and DAMP PROBLEM. Ivy tends to break down the natural water repellents of brickwork, masonry, and stone, this in turn caused lichen and moss to grow, which in turn keeps the water content high in the substrate, causing a mould problem internally. It also helps to syphon water droplets from the tiles to the ceiling acting as a straw on wet days, where the ivy has grown into the roof space.

As well as creepy crawlies we often find Mould on the ceiling due to the climber sending out runners that lay on top of the ceiling boards in the loft and deposits moisture directly onto the plasterboard etc.
